Unboxing Panasonic SC-HTB10 Surround Sound Bar

I recently bought a Samsung LN32C550 television for the bedroom to replace an old LG Flatron CRT. I wanted a little more sound, as any TV's stock speakers are a little hollow sounding. So I got pricing some surround sound bars and decided on the Sony PS3 sound. This was until I noticed this one on Walmart.com. It was 40-50$ cheaper, as the Sony is 169-179. Even being a Canadian and having to pick it up at the Wal-Mart in Houlton Maine, and 17$ worth of duty, it saved me a few bucks. I was down to these two choices as it was only being paired with a 32 inch TV, and a lot of the other sound bars are longer than this one. This one is the same length as a 32 inch LCD is wide, which means it will fit nicely on my stand. As well I liked the integrate subwoofer idea as it doesn't take up as much room as an external. Obviously the external would be much better for bass. One of the main reasons I chose this bar, is it has an HDMI input, an HDMI output and an optical input, whereas the Sony only has an optical input. I am not using the pedestal stands that came with it, as there are also little rubber feet on the bottom of the bar to keep it from sliding. These pedestals are also used for wall mounting. My initial thoughts on the bar itself are: 1) That it is aesthetically pleasing, 2) Well put together 3) A good value for the money, as Panasonic is a decent brand. Stay tuned and I will post a video of it in use, and my official review. Here is a link to the specs: panasonic.ca ...
